Vehicle Reviews:
2017 Toyota Sequoia

Toyota’s huge SUV, the Sequoia, continues to power its way up the large SUV ladder 2017. Maintaining its massive V8 engine and adding more features to its already long list, the Sequoia may be peering toward the top. The large SUV category is more competitive than ever for car builders, and what direction to go for them to gain in the market is a calculated risk.

With the Sequoia, Toyota goes in the direction of power, size and luxury features – not a stretch for a large SUV, but a good one. Increased power, keeping its already large dimensions, and improving the interior, the Sequoia reaches new levels for 2017.

Performance and capability more possible in the 2017 Toyota Sequoia

The powerful 5.7L V8 engine becomes more efficient for 2017, while still maximizing its 381hp of power. The Sequoia’s “boxed” frame construction maintains durability and increases capability. A 6-speed automatic transmission manages the massive power. The Sequoia has no problem towing – just about anything – with 8,000lbs towing capacity.

One 4×4 is offered in the Sequoia lineup and it benefits with Multi-Mode 4WD with Torsion to get maximum traction.

An exterior to match the Sequoia’s performance

Toyota matches is large SUV’s big performance with an exterior that exudes big presence. The signature Toyota front grille is what distinguishes the Sequoia. Big, chrome, and bold, it arch’s over the front bumper with thick lines that conveys strength. The overall shape of the Sequoia is rounded and well proportioned. A power tilt sunroof, roof rails, and running board are standard. Four types of wheel designs are available and added chrome accents come with higher trims.

The Toyota Sequoia’s interior better for 2017

Seats in the Sequoia are wide and comfortable. The instrument panel is large as well, and the controls and gauges are enlarged to match its proportions. Soft touch materials are used extensively and add to the upscale feeling of the Sequoia’s interior. The Sequoia seats up to 8 with fold flat second and third row seating. The interior abounds with many small storage features, taking big crew comfort to another level.
