Plus, there’s plenty of convenience features to help maximize your comfort, such as having five available USB ports. With two in the back, even your rear passengers can keep their phones and other devices charged. To reduce noise entering the cabin, the Toyota Highlander utilized acoustic-type glass in the windshield, so your passengers can happily listen to their music, movies, and more.

2018 Highlander: Performance

Under the hood of the Toyota Highlander, the standard 2.7L engine can produce up to 185 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. As if that wasn’t impressive enough as is, there’s also an available 3.5L V6 engine, which boosts the power to an incredible 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. When paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission, the Highlander isn’t just an exhilarating ride, but also a controlled and precise ride as well.

Although the Toyota Highlander packs a lot of power, it doesn’t sacrifice its fuel efficiency to achieve its thrilling power output. In fact, it maintains an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG with the 3.5L V6 engine.1 This is due, in part, to the Stop and Start Engine System, a cutting-edge feature that shuts the engine off when the Highlander is at rest to help conserve fuel. When it’s time to get going again, the system seamlessly restarts the engine.

2018 Highlander: Safety

Above all else, safety should be your main priority when investing in your next car. Toyota has developed a reputation for safety, which is why the Highlander is standardly equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense™ P system. This suite of driver-assisting technology comes with:

Other safety features of the Toyota Highlander include Automatic High Beams, Smart Stop Technology, Hill Start Assist Control, the Blind Spot Monitor, and much more.
